Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide transport services to international film crews who are filming in London?
Yes, absolutely I do. While I often work with UK production companies, and service work looking after overseas productions shooting in London via a UK production company, I also work directly for productions which are coming to film in London or elsewhere in the UK, whether they are using a UK fixer or just coming and directly working with me.
Mark! We’ve got an early start and a late finish, where can we get coffees at 5am and a dinner when restaurants are closed?
Oh great! But no problem! Bar Bruno (101 Wardour Street) opens at 4am. And Bar Italia, which mostly serves coffees despite the name (and also being the title of a Pulp song) is open to 4am, perfect for very early starts and nightshoot refreshments. There are a surprising amount of late eating options in London, try Balans (60-62 Old Compton Street, W1D 4UG), which is the go-to late night dining spot, or VQ restaurants Chelsea (325 Fulham Road, SW10 9QL), Aldgate (9-13 Aldgate High Street, EC3N 1AH) and Bloomsbury (111A Great Russell Street, WC1B 3NQ) which are 24 hours.
We need to rent a few bits of equipment and hire a crew member or two, do we need a UK Fixer or can you help us out?
I can help you out.
Tell me about the van and yourself!
The van has mains power, wifi, 8 passenger seats and a large table. There is a separate cargo area for equipment (which can also be used as a additional work space).
I am a one man band (and van!), so it will always be me that is your driver, and I have been doing this for over 15 years, so have seen a lot of different productions!
